About Eva Cassidy

Eva Cassidy was an American singer and guitarist, known for interpretations of Jazz, Folk, and Blues music. Her music has charted within the top ten in Australia, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland.

On November 2nd, 1996, Eva sadly passed away from cancer at only 33 year]]s old. She had Melanoma in her shoulder and lungs.

 

Eva grew up with her siblings, Annette, Margret, and Dan, in Bowie Maryland. The Cassidy family was very musical. From an early age, Eva could master harmonies, and first learned to play the harp, but later went on to learn the acoustic guitar.

In high school, Eva performed in a band alongside her brother called “Stonehenge”, she also performed solo in bars.

Eva had made one album, but it never got published until after she passed away, making her posthumously, which is basically just what you get called if something you made was published after your death.

 

Eva’s full name is Eva Marie Cassidy, and she was born February 2nd, 1963, in Washington D.C U.S. Cassidy’s top 5 most popular songs are, “You Take my Breath Away”, “Kathy’s song”, “Songbird”, “What a Wonderful World”, and “Wade in the Water”. Her album was released in 2012, on October 26th, 16 years after she had passes away. For her last performance before she passed away, she sung “What a Wonderful World
